The STORM REU at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is designed to immerse undergraduate students in the study of oceanography, meteorology, and remote sensing. The program offers participants the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research projects that explore atmospheric and oceanic processes, the use of remote sensing technology to study the Earth's systems, and the impact of weather and climate on the environment.
Who can apply
- Undergraduate student at least 18 years of age, currently enrolled in an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university
- Must have at least one semester left of undergraduate study by the time the REU starts
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Community college students, tribal college students, and students from historically excluded groups especially encouraged to apply
