The Cellular and Molecular Biology of Stress (CMBS) Summer Research Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, run by WISCIENCE, is the successor to the Integrated Biological Sciences Summer Research Program (IBS-SRP), focused on how organisms respond to environmental stressors (both biotic and abiotic). It provides undergraduate students with hands-on research experience in the biological sciences. Participants work closely with faculty mentors on independent research projects, attend workshops and seminars, and develop skills in scientific communication and professional development. Who can apply
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student, having completed at least 2 semesters of undergraduate education by the program start, with at least 1 semester remaining afterward.
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0.
- Strong interest in a career in biological sciences.
