The Health Scholars Program is aimed at providing students with opportunities to explore health-related topics through independent research, internships, or special projects. Selected scholars receive funding to support their work, allowing them to pursue topics such as public health, healthcare access, health equity, global health challenges, healthcare policy, or medical research.
Who can apply
- Undergraduate Status: Applicants must be currently enrolled Princeton University undergraduates in their junior year; the current cycle is open to members of the Class of 2027.
- Applications are submitted through Princeton's GPS system.
- Interest in Health-Related Research: Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in health-related research or internships, with plans to explore issues related to public health, global health, health policy, or healthcare delivery.
- Academic Achievement: A strong academic record, particularly in courses related to health, science, policy, or social sciences, is recommended.
- Application Materials: Applicants are generally required to submit a research proposal or project outline, a resume or CV, a personal statement outlining their research interests and career goals, unofficial transcripts, and letters of recommendation from faculty members
