The Amgen Scholars Program at LMU Munich is a prestigious summer research initiative offering undergraduate students hands-on experience in cutting-edge life sciences research. This nine-week program immerses students in laboratory research across various fields, including biochemistry, structural biology, molecular biology, cell and developmental biology, neurobiology, computational neuroscience, and physiological sciences. Beyond laboratory work, the program features academic workshops, networking events, and an opening retreat in the Bavarian countryside. Participants also attend the European Amgen Scholars Symposium at the University of Cambridge, fostering connections with peers and professionals across Europe.
Who can apply
- Undergraduate students enrolled in bachelor's programs at European Higher Education Area (EHEA) colleges and universities.
- Applicants must not have completed their bachelor's or first degree prior to the program's conclusion in September.
- Interest in pursuing a PhD.
- Good command of English; language certificates are not mandatory but may be assessed during a telephone interview.
