The Humboldt Research Fellowship, offered by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, supports highly qualified international researchers across all disciplines to conduct long-term research projects in collaboration with academic hosts at research institutions in Germany. This fellowship enables researchers to carry out their own research projects in cooperation with an academic host of their choice at a research institution in Germany. The fellowship is open to researchers from all nationalities and disciplines.
Who can apply
- Postdoctoral Researchers:
- Completed doctorate within the last four years.
- Academic publications reviewed according to international standards.
- Experienced Researchers:
- Completed doctorate within the last twelve years.
- Extensive list of academic publications reviewed according to international standards.
- Researchers from all countries (excluding Germany) and disciplines are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a confirmed academic host in Germany willing to provide a detailed expert's statement.
- Proficiency in English or German is required.
