The FRIAS Senior Fellowship Programme supports experienced researchers from around the world by providing them with the opportunity to conduct research at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS). This fellowship aims to foster academic exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative research. Fellows receive a full-time employment contract with the University of Freiburg and are expected to contribute to the academic community through their research and participation in FRIAS activities.
Who can apply
- Applicants must have a completed PhD and at least eight years of postdoctoral research experience
- Open to scientists holding tenure-track professorships or full-time professorships
- Demonstrated research excellence and potential for significant contributions to their field
- At least 10 peer-reviewed publications since 1 January 2020
- Minimum 6 months' research/study experience in a country different from that of their first degree
