Who can apply
- Woman who is not a US citizen or permanent resident
- Holders of a nonimmigrant visa residing in the US may apply
- Hold the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree by the application deadline
- Plan full-time study or research at an accredited US institution during the fellowship year
- Intend to return to the home country to pursue a professional career
