The Washington Research Foundation Fellowships (WRFF) are designed to support undergraduate students at the University of Washington who are engaged in sophisticated and creative research projects in the biosciences and related fields. These fellowships aim to foster research independence, promote career development, and enhance students' confidence and sense of belonging in research disciplines. Participants work under the guidance of UW faculty mentors and may also collaborate with graduate students, staff, or postdoctoral associates.
Who can apply
- Open to current UW (Seattle, Bothell, Tacoma) undergraduate students.
- Must be engaged in a research project in biosciences or a related field.
- Have completed at least three-quarters of prior research experience.
- Be registered full-time during the award period.
- Receive guidance from a UW faculty member serving as a research mentor.
