The Summer Training in Aging Research (STAR) Internship at the University of Pennsylvania's Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) is a nine-week program designed to provide undergraduate, graduate, and medical students with hands-on research experience, classroom-based learning, and faculty mentoring in the field of aging and neurodegenerative diseases.
Who can apply
- Current undergraduate, graduate, or medical school students, full-time in any year or degree program
- Identities and experiences considered include students from underrepresented groups (URG), such as racial/ethnic identities including but not limited to Black or African American, Latino/Hispanic
- Persons with disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds
- Completion of CITI and HIPAA training before the program's start
