The Maine Sea Grant - NOAA Fisheries Undergraduate Internships in Sea-run Fish Research is a partnership between Maine Sea Grant and NOAA's Northeast Fisheries Science Center offering competitive, paid internships (40 hours/week) at multiple Maine locations, including UMaine Orono and Maine Department of Marine Resources offices. Positions run 12 weeks starting early May 2026, paying $19.25/hour for up to 480 total hours.
Who can apply
- Must be enrolled or accepted in a degree-granting or certificate program from an accredited institution in Maine.
- Must be enrolled at least half time (6 credits or more) in the following fall semester.
- Application materials required: cover letter with a statement of interest and top 3 project preferences, resume with 3 references, and unofficial transcripts.
