The CMaT REU Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research focused on the manufacturing of living cells for therapeutic applications, placing students at any of four partner institutions: Georgia Tech (GT), University of Georgia (UGA), University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM), and University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW). The field of cell therapy holds great promise for treating a wide range of diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and autoimmune disorders, but scalable, reliable manufacturing processes are critical to making these therapies accessible to patients.
