The Beckman Scholars Program funds intensive, mentored undergraduate research in chemistry, biochemistry, and the biological and medical sciences (or interdisciplinary combinations of these). Selected Scholars receive a substantial stipend supporting research across two summers and the intervening academic year, along with travel funding to attend a national symposium.
Who can apply
- Full-time undergraduate at a participating US institution
- Major in chemistry, biochemistry, the biological/medical sciences, or an interdisciplinary combination
- US citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient
- No minimum GPA and no prior-research requirement
- Apply through the participating university's own Beckman selection process
