The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is the University of Toronto's most prestigious and competitive scholarship for international students. This scholarship recognizes outstanding global students who excel academically and demonstrate strong leadership skills, creativity, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities and beyond. Named after Lester B. Pearson, a former Canadian Prime Minister and Nobel Prize laureate, the scholarship emphasizes academic excellence, leadership potential, and a focus on global citizenship.
Who can apply
- An international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit);
- Enrolled in your final year of senior secondary school in 2026/2027 or have graduated no earlier than June 2026
- Beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027 (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their post-secondary studies earlier at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered).
- Students must be nominated by their high school (each school can nominate only one student per year).
