The Indigenous and Black Engineering and Technology (IBET) Momentum Fellowship supports the advancement of Indigenous and Black scholars pursuing doctoral studies at the Lassonde School of Engineering. This fellowship aims to increase representation and provide financial assistance to students, empowering them to contribute to transformative research and innovation in engineering and technology. Recipients receive both fellowship funding and an additional Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) from their supervisors, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their studies.
Who can apply
- Be Canadian citizens or permanent residents who self-identify as Indigenous* or Black.
- Meet the minimum admission requirements for their PhD program.
- Submit an application to a PhD program in the Lassonde School of Engineering.
- Plan to start their PhD program on a full-time basis in the Fall term.
- Direct-entry PhD applicants are also eligible.
