Value and Duration:
- A full tuition fee waiver, meaning recipients are not required to pay any tuition fees.
- Up to £12,300 to assist with living costs.
- Academic Year: 2025/26.
- Two scholarships.
Who can apply
- Applicants must have a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of York for the 2024 academic year.
- Applicants must have applied for asylum before applying to the university.
- Applicants must not have access to mainstream funding, such as student finance or local authority grants.
- Eligible statuses include:
- Discretionary/Limited Leave to Remain (DLR/LLR).
- Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).
- Humanitarian Protection (HP) without access to mainstream funding.
- Awaiting a decision on an application for refugee status.
- Leave as an Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Child (UASC leave).
- Refused Asylum Seeker who has submitted an appeal or a fresh claim.
- Dependents or partners of individuals with the above statuses.
