The Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship for Foreign Students Tenable in Brunei Darussalam (BDGS) for the 2026/2027 academic session is a fully funded scholarship offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to international students pursuing studies at Brunei's higher education institutions, including Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), and Politeknik Brunei (PB). The academic year commences in July/August 2026. The scholarship covers the full duration of the program: typically 4-5 years for undergraduate/diploma, 1-2 years for master's.
Who can apply
- Not exceeding 25 years old for undergraduate/diploma; not exceeding 35 years for master's
- Credit 6 at GCE 'O' Level English or Grade 'C' IGCSE English, or equivalent
- Not a Bruneian citizen, Brunei permanent resident, or previous student at a Brunei tertiary institution
