AIMS Ghana is one of the pan-African network of AIMS Centres of Excellence (alongside South Africa, Senegal, Cameroon, Tanzania, and Rwanda) delivering fully-funded postgraduate training in the mathematical sciences. Its one-year Master of Mathematical Sciences programme (the "AIMS Structured Master's," MMST) draws students from across the continent -- its 2026 graduating class included 130 scientists from 24 African countries -- and covers tuition, accommodation, and living costs.
Who can apply
- Hold (or be completing) a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.
- African nationals (AIMS's core mandate is training talented African students, though the network also considers a limited number of international applicants).
- Strong quantitative/analytical background.
