The Summer Undergraduate Research in Global Health (SURGH) program at Harvard University offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in 10 weeks of intensive research on global health projects under the mentorship of Harvard-affiliated faculty and researchers. SURGH aims to build community and stimulate creativity among a cohort of Harvard undergraduate researchers in global health. Fellows work on pre-designated research projects, live together in one of the Harvard College houses, and participate in evening programming that includes both social and academic activities.
Who can apply
- Open to Harvard College undergraduates, including first-year students, sophomores, and juniors.
- International students, U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and undocumented/DACA students are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must apply and be selected to work on one of the pre-designated SURGH research projects, which are usually announced in mid-January.
